ACT Appeal

Democratic Republic of the Congo - AFDC41, REVISION 1

Relief & Rehabilitation

Geneva, 2 June, 2004

Appeal Target: US$ 1,475,732

Balance Requested from ACT Alliance: US$ 1,181,003

This is a revision of the Christian Aid component of AFDC41 appeal, originally launched in February this year. The appeal is being revised to incorporate current agro-pastoral activities in South Kivu, funded through contributions originally received for previous appeals, which have been rolled over into this current appeal. However, the funding so far available for the activities are inadequate and request for a better response to the appeal. While revising the proposal to incorporate these activities, Christian Aid and partners have also taken the opportunity to refocus and refine the activities planned for both South Kivu and Maniema for the next agricultural season to be launched in the second half of 2004.

The revision does not affect other ACT members in the appeal and therefore for the sake of brevity no changes have been made to the other proposals in the original appeal issued in February, 2004.
